To Engage Consumers, PropNex Keeps It Simple

Latest Property Real Estate News - Published on 17/01/2014

PropNex launches 3 new comprehensive guides, a total of 270,000 copies, targeted in educating homebuyers, homeowners and investors of the different segments of property investment. Incorporating the dynamism of policies and measures that were introduced, these 14-page simple-to-understand booklets aimed to enrich knowledge for better investment judges.

A belief that PropNex keeps dearly to, we present the facts and analysis of the market trends, and it is up to the readers or participants to take the next decision. This outreach programme is further enhancing the agency’s Consumer Empowerment campaign in 2013 where over 10,000 homeowners and investors attended our weekly or quarterly seminars and emerged with a wealth of valuable tips for their next investment decision.

A survey was conducted and results showed that close to 80% of homebuyers were not ready to commit to a decision due to a lack of understanding of the various measures and the many restrictions put in place by the authorities. Similarly, sellers are also facing the same conundrum. About 75% surveyed indicated that they have the intention to sell their property, but are unsure of whether it is the opportune time to sell. And most worry about their next course of action if they were to sell.

“We wanted to provide “decision simplicity”—the ease with which consumers can gather trustworthy information and confidently weigh their options. The processes of aiding navigation, building trust, and making it easier to make decisions will give consumers greater confidence and knowledge to pursue their property aspirations,” remarked CEO of PropNex Realty, Mr Ismail Gafoor.

The education of consumers in property investment matters is becoming increasingly important as there are many more new project launches and in addition, new measures/regulations are also increasing the range and complexity of making a sound investment decision.

 A one-stop resource for consumers

The 3 newly published consumer guides (HDB, ECs and Private Condominiums) include an overview of Singapore’s property market and an in-depth evaluation of the possible capital appreciation of each property type. To aid understanding, detailed graphs, data and analyses are furnished—all derived from PropNex’s years of extensive knowledge. Tips on how to buy, and guidance for when and why consumers should buy, as well as key government measures, are all included to paint a complete picture for anyone who reads them.

Synopsis of the 3 guides:

HDB Resale Flats

• Why did HDB resale prices increase phenomenally in just a few short years?
• New measures and/or schemes put in place by the Government
• Effects of the measures and what it means for your HDB property
• Other options available to preserve your asset value

Executive Condominiums

• Upcoming EC projects that are not affected by the new measures
• Why ECs are priced lower than a private condominium?

Importance of engagement in current market conditions
